Most people believe their thought processes to be both rational and sensible. And yet, systemic mistakes influence our thinking far more than we realize. These universally shared mental shortcuts are known as cognitive biases. Science has identified over 120 such shortcuts, ranging from confirmation bias to the IKEA effect.
At the entrance of the venue, the audience must choose between actor A or actor B, based on photos. Depending on their choice, they end up in either the A or B audience. A wall made of cardboard boxes blocks the view between the sides. The names of 60 scientifically researched cognitive biases are written in the boxes.
BIASED is an interactive performance that invites the audience to explore the hidden notions and unconscious factors that drive our actions and decision making.
